He graduated in law in 1975 and received a doctorate (Dr. jur.) in 1980, both from the University of Munich. He has published a book on the requisites of the patentable invention in Italy in comparison with the European Patent Convention and a comment on the new German Trademark Act.
He was a member of the staff of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich from 1973-83. He was an associate with Neumann from 1983-93 and with Rau & Partner from 1994-97. Ludwig Vohland became an associate at Bardehle et al in 1998 and joined the FROHWITTER Intellectual Property Counselors shortly afterwards.
He specializes in patent litigation and arbitration; he also prosecutes and litigates trademarks and unfair competition matters in Germany and Italy.
